Hot fish cakes are served with vegetables in white sauce with chives. A fast, healthy and very good everyday dinner!
Fried fish cakes with stewed vegetables
By making stewed vegetables, you get vegetables and gravy in one, which both tastes very good and is perfect as an accessory for fish cakes and fish bowls, among other things.
In this stew we have used carrots, broccoli and cauliflower, but here you can easily vary according to the season and what you like best at your home.
Choose fish cakes with a high fish percentage to make it as healthy as possible. Photo: Family Food Blog.

Ingredients
1 pk fish cakes with high percentage fish
60 grams butter
60 grams of wheat flour
1 liter of milk
1 broccoli in bouquets
1 cauliflower in bouquets
3 carrots in slices
salt and cayenne pepper

HOW TO
Put on a cauldron of lightly salted water on high heat.
Melt the butter, add flour and spoon with milk until you have a lump-free white sauce.
Cook for 10 minutes while stirring regularly.
When the water boils add the carrots and cauliflower and let it boil for about 5 minutes before adding the broccoli allowed to boil with the other vegetables for the last 2-4 minutes until all the vegetables are tender.
Lift the vegetables into the white sauce.
Season with salt, cayenne pepper and lemon. Sprinkle chopped chives over.
Fry the fish cakes, in butter/rapeseed oil, for a couple of minutes on each side in a medium hot pan until hot.
Serve the stewed vegetables together with hot fish cakes.
